Who we are
Exotic Stars Cattery is a small family cattery in Vancouver, Washington, raising purebred Persian and Exotic Shorthair cats here since 2021. We are registered with both TICA and CFA, keep a handful of breeding cats rather than a large program, and raise every litter inside the house.
How Exotic Stars started
What has not changed since we started in 2021 is the scale. We keep a small number of queens and one king, which means one or two litters at a time and enough hours in the day to handle every kitten individually. A bigger operation produces more kittens. We would rather handle each one several times a day.
Where we are
We are in Vancouver, Washington, just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. Most of our families come from the Portland metro and Clark County, but we have sent kittens across the country and we regularly meet buyers at Portland International Airport. If you are further away, see buying from another state. Our cattery is inside our home, so we share the exact address once a visit is scheduled.

How we raise our kittens
Kittens are born in the house and stay in the house. From the day their eyes open they are around ordinary domestic noise: the vacuum, the television, the doorbell, people coming and going. That is why our buyers describe their cats as unbothered by noise.
Nothing leaves before twelve weeks
Kittens go home at 12 to 14 weeks, never earlier, and the buying guide sets out how that works. Between eight and twelve weeks a kitten learns bite inhibition, litter habits and how to be handled, and it learns those things from its mother and littermates rather than from you. A breeder offering an eight week old Persian is saving themselves four weeks of work at your cat's expense.
What every kitten leaves with
- First two vaccinations, given on schedule
- De-worming completed
- Fully litter trained
- Written kitten contract and health guarantee
- A care sheet covering food, grooming and settling in
- TICA or CFA registration papers once spay or neuter is confirmed
We stay in touch
Our families message us months and years later with photos, grooming questions and the occasional two in the morning worry. Several of those families have come back for a second cat.
