Buying a Persian kitten from another state
Yes, we sell to buyers outside Washington, and most of the country is a one flight trip. We never ship a kitten as cargo. Your kitten travels in the aircraft cabin with a person, either you or us, from Portland International Airport to your nearest airport. Kittens are $1,700 to $2,000, a $300 deposit reserves one, and they fly at 12 to 14 weeks old.
We are in Vancouver, Washington, fifteen minutes north of Portland. Buyers who cannot drive to us have two options, and both put a person in the seat next to the carrier. We are registered with both TICA and the CFA, and every kitten comes from our own registered breeding cats, whose colors, dates of birth and pedigrees are published on the kings and queens page.

See the kitten before you commit
You cannot drive over, so we send fresh photos and video, and we video call before taking a deposit from anyone. That call is as much for us as for you.
Reserve with a $300 deposit
Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, cash or check. The kitten comes off the market that day, and we send updates through to the flight.
Your kitten flies at 12 to 14 weeks
In the cabin, with a person, from Portland to your nearest airport. Pay the balance before the flight. You meet the carrier at arrivals.
Which states do you send kittens to?
Any of them. Portland International is a hub with direct flights to most of the country, so a kitten going to Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado or California is usually one flight and a few hours. Anywhere without a direct route takes a connection, which we will tell you about before you commit rather than after.
Who carries the kitten?
Either one of us, or a flight nanny. When we fly the kitten ourselves you are dealing with the family who raised it from birth, which is the option most buyers pick when they cannot collect.
When a flight nanny makes more sense for the route, the one we have used is PDX Flight Nanny. It flies out of Portland to any airport in the United States, carries cats only, and is registered with USDA APHIS as a Class T transporter. Its pricing is published on its own site. What we will not do, whoever is carrying, is put a kitten in cargo.
What about health certificates?
Some states require a certificate of veterinary inspection for a kitten arriving from out of state, and some airlines ask for one even when the state does not. We arrange the vet visit and the paperwork for the route your kitten is flying. Ask us and we will tell you what applied the last time we flew it.
What to look for in a breeder you cannot visit
Buying at a distance removes the single best check a buyer has, which is standing in the room. Five questions replace it: can you see both parents on a live video call, is there a pedigree, at what age do kittens leave, what does the health guarantee say in writing, and will they connect you with a past buyer. Any registered cattery answers all five easily.
Be particularly careful with deposits paid to someone you have not met, for a kitten you have not seen, at a price well below the $1,700 to $3,500 band that purebred Persians normally occupy. That combination is the standard shape of a pet scam, and distance is what makes it work. We will always video call before taking a deposit.

Do you sell Persian kittens to buyers in other states?
Yes. We are in Vancouver, Washington, and we send kittens all over the United States. Your kitten never travels as cargo: it flies in the aircraft cabin with a person, either you after collecting it at Portland International, one of us, or a flight nanny we have used.
How does a kitten fly to another state?
In the cabin, in a soft carrier under the seat in front, with a person beside it for the whole trip. We fly out of Portland International to your nearest airport and hand the kitten to you at arrivals. Kittens fly at 12 to 14 weeks old, never earlier.
How much does it cost to get a kitten to my state?
It depends on the route, because the cost is the airfare, the airline cabin fee and the carrier's time. The flight nanny we use, PDX Flight Nanny, publishes its pricing at pdxflightnanny.com. Ask us with your nearest airport and we will give you the figure for your route before you pay a deposit.
Can I see the kitten before I buy if I cannot visit?
Yes, and we insist on it. We send fresh photos and video, and we video call before taking a deposit from anyone. It protects you from a scam and it lets us see the home the kitten is going to.
Do you ship kittens by air cargo?
No, and we will not. Cargo means a hold, a temperature swing and nobody watching. Every kitten we send travels in the cabin with a person. If that is not possible on your route we will say so rather than put a kitten in cargo.
